Author Share with First Graders

On Wednesday, we made time to share writing with Mrs. Herrick's first grade class. The first graders shared their first published pieces and we were happy to listen and give feedback. Then, fourth graders shared some of their writing from writing notebooks.

Once again, I was proud to take this class on the road! They were gracious and kind leaders and respected the writing of the first graders - total embodiments of our school culture in action.

Writing with Kindergarten Friends

Our class helped the kindergartners write spring poetry. It was so heartwarming to see the gentle guidance that the fourth graders offered to the younger students. We're hoping that some of the poems will be chosen to be a part of the Poetry Slam on Friday!
